    Administrative history

    The Agricultural Engineering Services Branch was part of the Nova Scotia Department of Agriculture and Marketing. It was established in 1937 to oversee and undertake work in the construction of drainage systems, farm building and planning, community pastures, and marshland reclamation, including the building of causeways. The Agricultural Engineering Services Branch evolved and eventually became part of the Extension Services Branch of the Department of Agriculture and Marketing.

    Fonds consists of photographs of the construction of the Annapolis Causeway. Each photograph is dated and labelled describing the activity depicted.
