Biographical history

Annie D. Robertson was born November 30, 1867 in Yarmouth to Master Mariner William D. Robertson and his wife Sarah Freeman, both of Milton, Queens Co. Annie attended Acadia Ladies' Seminary from 1882 to 1885. The 1882-1883 and 1884-1885 Seminary Calendars state that she was enrolled as a First Year student, and is the daughter of Captain W.D. Robertson of Wolfville. The 1883-1884 Calendar indicates she was enrolled in Instrumental Music, Fourth Grade. On 15 August 1894, she married Walter Rankin of St. John in Yarmouth.

Scope and content

Fonds consists of an autograph book containing signatures and verses from Robertson's classmates and teachers at the Acadia Ladies' Seminary. A postcard of University Hall is also found in the volume.
