Richardson fonds and consists of correspondence related to: the Barrington Woolen Mill; the Kingdom Come and other Richardson publications; the trial of Alice Wrayton; and research for Richardson articles, including transcripts of material from Gilbert Nickerson, the old Chairmaker , which was the subject of a book of stories compiled by Evelyn Richardson entitled The Wreckwood Chair: Sagas of the sea told in wood.

              Fonds consists of an annotated manuscript of the booklet written by Frank A. Doane entitled "Old Times in Barrington", revised in 1944, published in Truro. Also includes a copy of Doane's marriage certificate, and manuscripts of articles for "South Shore Notes" printed in the Truro Daily News printed in the late 1940's, and proofs for his book Old Times. Photograph is of the Doane's Truro home.

              Series forms part of Evelyn M. Richardson fonds and consists of manuscripts and reprints of stories, including annotations, written by Evelyn Richardson about Barrington and the surrounding area. Titles include Sketches of Barrington Township, 1765 Cape Cod Meetinghouse, but not Cape Cod, Mail Coaches, Shipbuilding and The Woolen Mill and other businesses. Many of these writings were published in magazines and can also be found in the book Where my Roots Go Deep: the collected writings of Evelyn Richardson, Nimbus Publishing, Halifax, N.S., 1996. Series also includes book reviews of Richardson's work and a notebook containing poems and proverbs, kept by Richardson in 1919.

              Series forms part of Arnold Doane fonds and consists of thirty-five notebooks, called "memoranda" by Arnold Doane, containing histories of Barrington families. Following Doane's death, his research was acquired by Dr. Edwin Crowell who used them, to write The History of Barrington Township and Vicinity in 1923.
