Scope and content

Series consists of material relating to the Black Working Group. The Black Working Group was an advisory group established by staff at the Gottingen Street Canadian Employment Centre (CEC), to plan and discuss how the Canadian Government (and especially Human Resources Development Canada could work with the Black community. The series also contains four subseries, one containing material directly related to the Canadian Employment Centre (CEC), and especially the 1996 occupation, a subseries of material relating to educational initatives, one relating to the African Nova Scotian community, and one relating to member organizations of the Black Working Group.
