Custodial history

The copies of the boat plans were donated to the Eastern Shore Archives by Gordon Hammond. The originals came into his possession through his son, Ken, who purchased the home of Wallace Russell and found that the records had been left behind by the previous owners.

Scope and content

Series consists of photocopies of boat plans found in the home of Wallace Russell. The original plans were donated to the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic. These drawings, together with measurements taken of another locally owned Wallace Russell built boat, were used to design the plans for the “Memory Lane Boat” at Memory Lane Heritage Village.
