              Series forms part of the Claude L. Webber family fonds and consists of two discharge certificates for Leonard Webber in 1918. He served with the 63rd Regiment of the Halifax Rifles. He was discharged upon joining the 1st (Depot) Battalion Nova Scotia Regiment C.E.F. S3

              Part of Stanley F. Flaherty family fonds
              Series forms part of the Stanley F. Flaherty family fonds and contains the marriage certificate of John Fenwick Bayers of Musquodoboit Harbour and Sarah Jane Turple of Clam Bay on October 21, 1890 and signed by Rev. F. J. [Pentelowe]. John F. Bayers born was c. 1867 and was the son of George and Margaret Bayers. He was employed as a mill hand in Musquodoboit Harbour at the time of his marriage. Sarah Jane Turple was born c. 1868 and was the daughter of Alexander and Regina (Webber) Turple of Clam Bay. Together they had two children, Etta Regina Bayers (b. July 1, 1891) and Olive Bayers. Sarah Jane died sometime between about 1893 and 1897, when John F. Bayers remarried. He was then employed as a seaman and married Matilda Dillman of Dartmouth. He died sometime before 1923.               Fonds comprises correspondence and personal papers of William R. Tratt and Naomi Tratt (1890-1932). It also contains Herber Tratt's academic records and financial statements (1908-1910), temperance certificates for Gertrude, Wilfred and Elsie Tratt (1931), and Methodist Church Statistical Returns (1915).               Series forms part of the Ford Webber fonds and consists of records from Ford’s school years, including examination books, and exercise books containing English compositions, writing exercises, mathematics, health, and other subjects. Also included is a scribbler containing information about baseball games played by students including Ford. In addition, series contains a souvenir card containing poetry given to Ford by his teacher, Doris Dakin, in June of 1945 when he was in grade two. Series also includes two report cards, one quarterly and one monthly; and three certificates showing that he had completed grades two, three, and four. Accession numbers: 2010.017, 2013.023

              Part of Annabel (Siteman) Ells fonds
              Series forms part of the Annabel (Siteman) Ells fonds and consists of correspondence regarding the establishment of a school at Ship Harbour, school trustee documents, school returns and registers for Ship Harbour school. Also includes correspondence from Clam Harbour school section, a memorial of the inhabitants of Egmont Harbour, Jeddore regarding the establishment of a school and church and aid to support a teacher. Also consists of school papers from Pictou County, particularly Toney River, and other school records gathered by Annabel Ells during the course of her research. In addition, series includes original high school certificates, teacher’s licenses and diplomas of Annabel Siteman as well as examination papers for various clerk positions.               Fonds consists of two school certificates of graduation; one to certify that Roy Wilson Webber passed the grade nine in 1914 and one to certify that he passed the grade ten provincial examination in Halifax in 1915.               Part of Robert M. Ritcey fonds
              Series forms part of the Robert M. Ritcey fonds and consists of the contents of two binders, each comprising volumes of a work entitled “Memories and family: collections by Robert M. Ritcey” (also entitled “Memories, family, and collections of Robert Milton Ritcey Sr.”). The work is a collection of research material related to the Ritcey family of Nova Scotia, as well as other families connected to the Ritceys, including the Newman, Williams, Bayers, and Gaetz families. The work comprises material created by Ritcey or collected from other sources, and includes text; family trees; excerpts and transcriptions from publications; records such as certificates and forms; correspondence; maps; drawings; and other material. All of the material from the binders is photocopied, with occasional annotations in pencil. Included in the work are drafts of Ritcey’s memoirs “The Place” and “The People”. Also included in the work are colour copies of photographs of Martinique Beach and Dun’s Beach. Ritcey began collating the material in 1986, although he had begun creating some of it in 1972 or earlier, and had been accumulating it for many years before then. Series also includes a letter to the Lake Charlotte Area Heritage Society related to the upcoming publication of part of his work, along with an annotated copy of an introduction to be included in the publication, and a copy of a map of the area around Martinique Beach in around 1937, hand drawn by Ritcey.
