              Fonds consists of approximately 137 hours of oral history interviews conducted by Lena Ferguson. Most interviewees were residents of the Eastern Shore region of Halifax County, particularly the Chezzetcook area. Interview topics include genealogy, local industries, occupations, music, shipping, community life, traditions, and folklore. In addition to interviews, the creator recorded school reunions, concerts, weddings, and church anniversaries. Several paper transcripts are included as well as scrapbooks featuring articles written by Lena and other newspaper articles regarding the Chezzetcook area. 2019.014

              Collection consists of copies and transcriptions of records from various churches and parishes that were located on the Eastern Shore of Nova Scotia or which were used by Eastern Shore residents. The collection contains baptismal, marriage, burial, and confirmation records along with other church records, dating from 1752 to 1982. Some records are on microfilm or have been copied from microfilm, while others are typed or handwritten transcriptions of records. 2003.010, 2004.008, 2011.024

              Series includes photocopies from microfilm baptismal, burial, and marriage records from St Paul's Anglican Church. These records show the first ninety years of baptisms, including the records generated during the settlement of Halifax and its early history, the Revolutionary War period, the Loyalist emigration to Nova Scotia, and the post-Napoleonic years. Before the establishment of St. Stephen’s parish, many of the early birth, marriage, and death records for the Lake Charlotte area can be found at St. Paul’s. Records span the years 1753-1857. 2003.010
