File consists of an image of the MacKay Bridge in the early stages of construction. The view looks south-west across the Narrows showing the [Bedford Institute of Oceanography] on the far right of the frame and Halifax's North End through to Fairview in the distance. Also on view in the distance (although partially blocked by the top of a electricity pole) is Africville, including the Seaview Baptist Church, which was demolished in October or November of 1967.
