Scope and content

Series forms part of the Lydia Webber fonds and consists of several letters to Lydia Webber from her sons Harvey and Roy. Series also contains one letter from James Peter Webber (Lydia’s brother) which is addressed to Catherine (Dooks) Webber (Lydia’s mother). Series also consists of postcards, Christmas cards, and other greeting cards accumulated or created by Lydia Webber. Most of the cards are addressed to Lydia Webber and are from a variety of senders including her sons Odous, Harvey, and Roy. Some cards are also from her husband Albert, who sent them from Anticosti Island, Quebec and Souris, Prince Edward Island, possibly during fishing expeditions. Series also includes cards addressed to Albert Webber, sent by Lydia or other family members. In addition, three cards are addressed to Miss Ada Webber and one is addressed to “Harvie Webber” from “Aunt Ada”. Series also contains blank and unidentified postcards and greeting cards, as well as a number of calling cards from family members, relatives, and friends.
