Scope and content

Fonds consists of files compiled by Bob Frame, leader of a residents' campaign against the relocation of Little Nashville country music cabaret to the Canal Street area of downtown Dartmouth. Dartmouth residents fought the request by Little Nashville owner Cyril O'Hearn to transfer his cabaret liquour licence when his 20 year-old Alderney Drive location was demolished for construction of the new library/civic centre, later named Alderney Gate. Records include reports, petitions to Dartmouth City Council, letters of support, newsclippings, correspondence with the Nova Scotia Liquor License Board, notices of public meetings, research notes, and photographs of the Canal Street area of Dartmouth.
