Donald Haggart worked at the Nova Scotia Progressive Conservative Headquarters in Halifax as the Provincial Conservative Organizer for the Robert Stanfield elections of 1956 and 1960. He campaigned for a senate appointment from John Diefenbaker, but was not successful. Haggart was from Pictou County, Nova Scotia.
