The Saint Mary's University, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Faculty of Arts has existed since the university was formed in 1951. The Faculty offers programs of study leading to the degrees of Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Arts (Advanced Major), Bachelor of Arts (Honors), and Master of Arts. The primary purpose of the Faculty is to adminiser the Bachelor of Arts program which provides a sound basic education in the liberal arts, combined with a study in some depth in at least one subject or other area of concentration.
