Sub-series consists of Clerk’s Office correspondence, including correspondence with various City departments, provincial government bodies, groups, individuals, and other municipalities. Correspondence covers a variety of topics, and much of it relates to the Office’s role as a liaison between other City departments, provincial bodies, and the public. Correspondence includes requests for information; questions and concerns about local and municipal issues; internal operations of the Office; legal actions and appeals against the City; and applications for restaurant and liquor licenses. Also included is correspondence related to the City Clerk’s participation in organizations such as the Federation of Canadian Municipalities, the Union of Nova Scotia Municipalities, the Association of Municipal Administrators, and the International Institute of Municipal Clerks. Included among the correspondence is other material including legal notices, financial records, reference material, and reports.
