Fonds consists of appraiser's estimates, reports, and other documents concerning claims submitted for civil property damage sustained in Halifax from the VE-Day Riots, 7-8 May 1945 and in Halifax-Dartmouth area from the Naval Magazine explosion in Bedford, 18-19 July 1945.
