Scope and content
Sub-series consists of ledgers used to record criminals committed and discharged from the County Jail. Ledgers are arranged in chronological order of admittance and contain the following types of inmate information: name, crime, dates of committal and discharge, the individuals responsible for the inmate's committal and discharge, length of stay, and sometimes additional remarks concerning the inmate, such as where they were released to; subsequent court appearances and sentencing. The back of the ledger dating from 1960-1961 contains the signatures of guards changing duty in the back.
