Sub-series consists of records created by taxation and assessment committees. These records are composed of correspondence and meeting minutes. The committees were made up of aldermen and the City Assessor. The committees discussed new ways of determining assessments for both businesses and residences, in addition to exemptions,assessment rates, distribution of notices and methods of re-assessment.
