Biographical history
Helen Maude Begin was born in 1888 at Fauxburg in Lunenburg County, Nova Scotia. In 1910 she married the fisherman Laurence Freeman Slauenwhite. The couple had one child. Helen (Begin) Slauenwhite died at Lunenburg in 1965. She is buried in the Old Blockhouse Cemetery in Blockhouse, Nova Scotia.
Custodial history
The photograph was donated to the Mahone Bay Museum in 1997 by Karl and Barbara Wagner.
Scope and content
Fonds consists of an original photograph portraying a train wreck at the Mahone Bay train station in February 1907.
