Biographical history
Herman Clide Fillmore was an activist with the Maritime Communist Party. He was born in Lumsden, New Brunswick, on 14 March 1893 to Beverly Wellington Fillmore and Ada Bertha Tingley. Fillmore married Lilian Chapman in London, England, on 25 April 1919 with whom he had two children: Dorothy Fillmore (who died at the age of four) and Marion Betty Fillmore. Fillmore worked in the lumbering industry and was an active organizer for the Maritime Communist Party. He died on 12 June 1977.

Records were donated to Dalhousie University Archives in 1976 by Steve Hall.
