              Series forms part of the Twin Oaks Memorial Hospital fonds and consists of one sheet of handwritten notes regarding the history of the hospital and two copies of newspaper clippings related to the hospital fair and a levy for the hospital’s deficit around the time when the Red Cross ceased to provide assistance to the hospital in 1958.               Part of Town of Wedgeport fonds
              Subseries forms part of Overseers of the Poor and Welfare series and consists of records of accounts to be paid by the Town to various hospitals within Nova Scotia for the care of Town residents. Some of these accounts were paid in part by the patients or their families but many of the accounts became the responsibility of the Town due to the patients' inability to pay for their own hospitalization. These records consist of correspondence with various hospitals in the province; notices of fees chargeable to the Town of Wedgeport from various hospitals; medical reports; and notices of admission.Sub-series has been arranged chronologically and is divided according to names of hospitals. Hospitals whose accounts appear within the sub-series include Blanchard-Fraser Memorial Hospital; Camp Hill Hospital; Digby General Hospital; Grace Hospital; Nova Scotia Hospital; Nova Scotia Sanatorium; Victoria General Hospital; Western Kings Memorial Hospital; and Yarmouth Hospital.
