History
The Olympic Chapter of the I.O.D.E (Imperial Order Daughters of the Empire) was formed in 1918 at Kentville, Nova Scotia. It was named for the World War I transport ship which carried the Nova Scotia Highland Brigade from Halifax to Liverpool, England. The organization's activities included fundraising and charitable work in the areas of education, health, and war memorials. The Olympic Chapter is still active in the community of Kentville.
