Item consists of a plaque commemorating the grand opening of MedMira Laboratories’ new research and product development facility in Bayers Lake Business Park. The plaque is made out of wood with a large photograph at the top representing employees at the new facility. A brass plate at the bottom is inscribed, “on the occasion of the grand opening of our new research and product development facility in Bayers Lake Business Park, Halifax, Nova Scotia, the management and staff of MedMira Laboratories INC. thank you for your support and assistance in the creation of this world-class facility. Item consists of a commemorative plaque presented to Mayor W. R. Fitzgerald by veterans of the 1st Canadian Parachute Battalion. attached to the wooden plaque is the brass key to the City of Halifax, which was originally presented to the 1st Canadian Parachute Battalion by acting Mayor J. E. Ahern on 20 June, 1945. Gold-coloured metal panels are attached above and below the key, on which are engraved the crest of the battalion and the history of the key and the battalion. 102-145.115

Item consists of a keychain commemorating the naming ceremony of the Gander Halifax, an airplane owned by Lufthansa. The keychain is rectangular and made of silver-coloured metal. One side of the keychain is engraved with Lufthansa's name and logo. Lamp shaped like a Japanese pagoda

Item consists of a table lamp shaped like a Japanese five-story pagoda, known as a Goju-no-to. The lamp was given to the Halifax Regional Municipality by Hakodate, Japan, in celebration of the 25th anniversary of their twinning. The base and roofs of the temple are made of red-stained wood and the rest of the temple is made of darker stained wood. Plastic bells are hung from the corners of each roof and there is a plastic spire on the top. The lamp's lightbulb is installed inside the temple so the light can shine through the temple's windows. 400-11-1-4.10
