Sub-series consists of documentation of trips the Collins organized outside of Halifax Regional Municipality, featuring historical sites or architecture. Areas featured include the Fortress of Louisbourg; Bridgetown; Tatamagouche; La Have; Lunenburg (including an invitation for a historical house tour); Mahone Bay; the Annapolis Valley; Annapolis Royal; a Mi'kmaq village tourist site on Prince Edward Island; Sydney, Cape Breton; London, England, and Saint John, New Brunswick. File consists of images of the opening of a time capsule from 1888 during the 100th Anniversary of the laying of the Halifax City Hall Cornerstone. Shown are two men opening the capsule using a large pair of scissors at the Wednesday, August 10th ceremony in Halifax Hall, as politicians and delegates look on, and the contents of the capsule are laid out on a table. Identified attendees include Lou Collins, Mayor Ronald Wallace, Town Crier Peter Cox, and centennial committee chairman Bob Stapells. CR30K-7-8
