Projects and partnerships
Series consists of records pertaining to MSVU Teaching and Learning Centre projects and partnerships, including the non-credit program (1992, 1999-2016), Management Development for Women (1992-2012), MATRIX: a math empowerment project (1996), courses for junior high and high school students (1993, 1995, 2013), Christianity: a special program for adults (1981-1993), French for the Future Forum (2016), Chartered Management Accountants accelerated program learning lab (2011-2013), Q-tips: English immersion program (2002), Quebec teachers English program (2000-2001), faculty mentoring (2011), and Commonwealth of Learning (1998-2004). Series also consists of records related to Elder Learners (1988-1993), the Nova Scotia Centre for Aging (1996, 2013), and Experience Unlimited at MSVU (1985-1989). Series contains information on international programs and partnerships, including reports on Barbados (2003), Trinidad (2001), Mexico (2000-2001), and Jamaica (2002), as well as the University of St. Martin (2005-2015) and Bermuda College (2000-2018). Fonds consists of records pertaining to Mount Saint Vincent University’s Teaching and Learning Centre (previously the Distance Learning and Continuing Education department). Materials include budgets, annual reports, strategic planning, surveys, correspondence, and other administrative records. Fonds also consists of records related to DUET (Distance University Education via Television) as well as other projects and initiatives supported by the Centre. Records related to online learning and programming are included as well. UR-002
Series consists of records pertaining to DUET (Distance University Education via Television), including written histories of the program (1982-2001), handbooks and informational pamphlets for faculty members and students (1982-1987), course offerings and schedules (1982-1992), communications from viewers, and testimonials (1984, 1992, 1994). Administrative records
Series consists of administrative files created by the Teaching and Learning Centre, including meeting notes and reports from the Continuing Education committee and sub-committee (1978-1986), the Senate committee on Continuing Education (1973-1977), and CAPP: the Committee on Academic Policy and Planning (2007, 2012). Series also consists of director’s meetings notes (1987-1988), communications from MSVU’s President (2000-2014), Continuing Education reviews (1988-1995), notes from the Continuing Education Task Force (1981-1988), Continuing Education consultations (2011-2012), MSVU strategic plans (1987-1990, 2010-2017), and Faculty collective agreements (2000-2019), as well as annual reports (1972-1993), summer school session reports (1973-84, 2004-2006), and CAUCE (Canadian Association for University Continuing Education) environmental scans (1992) and correspondence (2007-2015). Series contains surveys from non-traditional students (1986), adult students (1984-1986), and first year students (2004), as well as activities produced by the Teaching and Learning Centre including the 30th year anniversary (2010-2012), various lecture series (2011-2017), programs and workshops (1987-2003), and course offerings and course development (1992-2018).
