Subseries consists of 11 files, 9 of which are news clippings, and two which contain other resource material (publications, brochures, speeches, photographic negatives, and other documents). All of the files document the history of Africville in Halifax, many of the news clippings detail reunions of residents in the 1980s and 1990s, demands for compensation, protests (especially by the Carvery brothers), apologies from the Halifax mayor over the treatment of residents, among other topics. The resource files contain programs from events (e.g., film screenings), material relating to the Carvey's protest, an untitled 74 page history of Africville, a speech given to the Canadian Labour Congress on Africville (possibly by Lynn Jones), and an envelope full of material (posters, news clippings, etc) relating to Eddie Carvey. 2016.002.1, Series 3, Subseries 43
