File consists of material found in early 2016 when the Grand Parade Flagpole was taken down due to extensive rotting. A 1940 Canada 50 cent coin was discovered at the base of the flagpole. A 1975 Joseph Howe Festival Commemorative Dollar, and a 1975 City Hall brochure showing the Council Chamber seating plan, information on the mace, coat of arms, flag, chain of office, etc. was discovered. Mayor Edmund Morris placed these items in May 1976 when the flagpole was being re-furbished. 102-144

File consists of a scrapbook that appears to have been created by Edna Snow of Harrigan’s Cove, Nova Scotia. She glued material she collected onto a catalogue from B. & H.B. Kent, Toronto jewelers. The contents mostly relate to World War 1; there are newspaper cutouts of patriotic songs and poems, as well as identified photographs of young men she presumably knew, who were fighting overseas. Other items featured include newspaper clippings of short stories, songs and jokes. CR3-2-0-2
