This folder holds 14 black and white photographs showing clerks cleaning up a vandalized store. Two men may be police detectives. Accompanying the photographs is the “Who’s Who in Canada” listing for Alton I. Lomas that mentions his time working as managing director for Henry Birks & Sons, Ltd. in Halifax. These photographs may have been taken after the Halifax VE Day Riot in May 1945 damaged the Halifax location of Birks. 2022.006, Ser. 16, #3
