Collection consists of records of Freeman's activities as a researcher, correspondent and a heritage recorder for over a period of thirty years. Also included are historical documents and correspondence preserved by her grandfather and father, and family records given to her by a number of present day and former residents of Roseway/Churchover/Carleton Village area of Shelburne County. Her genealogical research also included in depth notes on branches of local families who settled in Guysborough County, Nova Scotia, and various counties in southern New Brunswick.
