Fonds consists of records of the family of Anna Barbara Webber, created and/or accumulated by Anna Barbara Webber and later her daughter Frances Robson. Records include photographs, family land records and research, certificates, announcements, and wartime records. Accession numbers 2010.009, 2010.010

Collection consists of postcards accumulated by Anna Barbara Webber. Postcards date from 1905 to 1914, but predominantly from 1906 to 1912. Most postcards are addressed either to Anna Barbara or to her (then) future husband William Wilson Webber, although there are also some to other family members. Most of the postcards refer to events and activities on the Eastern Shore and in Dartmouth, where Anna Barbara lived during this time period. Postcards are each assigned an individual number from 1 to 696, and are arranged into five categories pertaining to their styles or types: postcards representing specific communities, landscape postcards, photograph postcards, greeting cards, and romance cards. Within each category, cards are arranged in order of their number. Accession number 2008.013.

The fonds consists of records accumulated by Annabel (Siteman) Ells during the course of her research on the area of Ship Harbour and the families who lived there as well as personal records created and accumulated throughout her lifetime. The fonds includes a wide variety of records such as land related documents, wills, Loyalist petitions, census information, court papers, church registers and vital statistics including marriage, birth, and death records; school papers, genealogies, clippings and notes taken from various newspapers and periodicals, photographs and negatives, correspondence, postcards, and diaries. Series is part of the Laura F. Stoddard family fonds and consists of three envelopes of quilt patterns and seven cards with instructions for various dance steps including the waltz quadrille, polka quadrille, first sett quadrilles, military polka, Saratoga lancers, lancers, and the Caledonia quadrille. Series also includes two watercolour paintings by H. Brownhill. Harold Brownhill of Halifax was registered at the Stoddard Hotel on August 25, 1946. Both paintings features landscapes and one shows the Clam Harbour Church with the original steeple. Series also includes a photograph of one of the paintings. Harold Brownhill was born in 1887 in Sheffield, England and married Eugenie Mason of Halifax on July 10, 1916. Harold worked as an accountant and they had five children: Donald Hugh, Eugenie, Hazel, Douglas Sydney, and Roberta Grace. Series also consists of one poem by Burns Marks of Ship Harbour entitled Good Hopes in Britain’s Pride. Burns ‘Austin’ Marks was born July 14, 1898 in Ship Harbour. His parents were Catherine Caroline Quinn and Martin Gay Black Marks of Ship Harbour. Burns Marks died July 14, 1964 in Halifax. He was known locally as a poet and wrote many other poems related to local history and residents. Series also consists of one brochure for Camp Charlotte, Ship Harbour Lake. The brochure asks interested visitors to book through a Miss Helen R. Saunders and Miss Annie G. Creighton, USA. Camp Charlotte was just an idea that never actually came to be, no camp was established. Accession number: 2013.010
