Fonds consists of correspondence, notes, briefs and reports, meeting minutes, financial records, circulars, photographs, and other records relating to the fishing and fish processing industry in Atlantic Canada and government regulations of the fisheries. Also included are similar types of records from sister organizations the Atlantic Fishing Vessel Association, Atlantic Fisheries By-Products Association, and Atlantic Queen Crab Association. MS-4-113

The fonds consists of correspondence, financial documents, journals and ledgers, legal documents, photographs, plans, printed material, and reports. This material spans almost 60 years and gives insight into a company which changed hands several times, and also represented an important part of Nova Scotia industry. Through the material one is able to get a complete picture of the process of manufacturing pulp, from acquiring timber and land to machinery and labour used, to exporting the end product; it also demonstrates how business was conducted. Together the fonds demonstrates the organizational structure, management, and operations of the Scott Paper company, and provide insight into business operations in Nova Scotia in the 20th century. Sandy Young fonds

This fonds consists of records related to Sandy Young’s academic research, interests, and teaching career which have a particular emphasis on sport and sport history in Nova Scotia and Canada. The largest series in the fonds consists of student papers, most of which were written for Dr. Young’s leisure studies classes and contain information gleaned from student interviews with athletes. The fonds also contains official and personal correspondence; research notes; newspaper clippings primarily regarding Nova Scotia athletes; conference information; committee records; film and video recordings used for class instruction; magazines; programs from various sports associations and sport teams; publications which include many articles written by Young on Maritime sport history; sound recordings; slides dealing with international sports history used for teaching; photographs of mostly Nova Scotian or Canadian athletes; postcards; maps; and scrapbooks. The fonds also contains an assortment of artifacts and memorabilia related to Nova Scotia Olympian Aileen Meagher, including a track outfit, relay baton, and Olympic bronze medal certificate. The title of the thesis is "Community, industry and workers along Nova Scotia's north shore: The Malagash salt miners."
