Other correspondents include C.D. Archibald regarding Dalhousie College, George Smith, George Young, Rev. K.J. McKenzie, and Rev. Thomas Trotter. Also contains subscription lists, minutes of meetings, correspondence, petitions, and accounts concerning Pictou Academy; scientific notes and lectures given by McCulloch; speeches and sermons; theological and literary writings, including manuscripts of the letters of Mephibosheth Stepsure, "William", "Melville", "Auld Eppie's tales", and an unpublished novel; minutes of congregation meetings; and publications including newspapers and pamphlets accumulated by McCulloch and his family. Contains some correspondence and other items relating to McCulloch's sons, Rev. William McCulloch and Thomas McCulloch Jr., and letters from Mrs. J.W. McCulloch to granddaughter Elizabeth McCulloch.
