Collection consists of interviews historian David Hood recorded with Robert Higgins, a homeless man who used the services of the Metro Turning Point Shelter. Also contains an article written by Hood titled "Loved Not Wisely: The History of Homeless Men in Halifax," which emphasizes the lack of written history of homelessness in Atlantic Canada as well as tells the story of a homeless man in Halifax, in Higgins' own words. The story of this man is recorded in the interview and transcribed from the audio-tapes. The recording chronicles Higgin's life and upbringing in Halifax and Dartmouth as well as other parts of Nova Scotia, his work history and struggles with alcoholism. CR66

Collection consists of photographs of Halifax trams (also called Birneys or streetcars) of the Nova Scotia Light and Power Co. who operated Halifax's transit system. Images show operators, car barns, passengers, street-scapes and billboards. Collection consists of copies of transcriptions of headstone inscriptions from various cemeteries across the Eastern Shore of Nova Scotia. Records were created between about 1972 and about 2002. The transcriptions are handwritten, and most were created by genealogist Terrance Punch. Fonds also includes copies of cemetery records. Accession number 2003.010.

The collection contains baptismal, marriage, burial, and confirmation records along with other church records, dating from 1752 to 1982. Collection consists of copies of a deed, a will, and a property record related to people and places along the Eastern Shore of Nova Scotia, accumulated by the Eastern Shore Archives. Records were created in 1982. Collection includes the 1883 will of Isaac Webber Sr. of Lakeville, an 1878 deed recording Isaac Webber’s purchase from Charlotte Garrott and Eve Parker of a parcel of land in Lakeville, and an 1850 document recording Isaac Webber’s purchase of a parcel of land between Ship Harbour and Clam Harbour. The Eastern Shore Archives has collected a variety of cartographic materials produced by a number of different cartographers, government departments, and businesses. These materials were accumulated over time by the archives from various sources as opposed to being generated by a single creator. Collection consists primarily of maps of Nova Scotia and various areas along Nova Scotia’s Eastern shore. They vary from nautical maps to topographical maps, to land grant and Crown Land maps, to geological surveys. Some include illustrations, descriptions, and directories.
