Sub-series · 1989-1990, 1993
Part of Michael Zatzman fonds
Sub-series consists of black and white photographs taken by Joseph Robichaud Photography at Alderney Gate. The photographs were taken at the ground-breaking ceremony, at the opening, and at Christmas 1993. The contact sheets show more shots of these events, perhaps indicating that some photographs are missing from the sub-series, or that the prints were never ordered from the photographer. Some of the photographs are duplicates. CR1-4-3

Part of Halifax (N.S.). City Home records
Sub-series consists of registers of residents in the Halifax Poor Asylum and the Halifax City Home. The registers were used to charge either the City or the Province for the number of days of care provided; hence there are separate volumes for City and for Provincial inmates. Information collected varies between registers but often includes name, age, date admitted and discharged, reason for admittance, by whom admitted, where discharged to, religious affiliation, and observations. There is a separate register of deaths that occurred in the Home between 1914 and 1947, which records name, date, age, and cause of death. There are also volumes which give the daily, monthly and yearly tally of inmates. 102-33A (Formerly RG 35-102-33A)
