Series consists of publications collected by Lynn Jones over the years. The publications are generally grassroots/local publications detailing African-Canadian, African-American, Diasporic issues, as well as labour, community, and other issues. The series is divided into three subseries based on publication: Local/Nova Scotia newspapers; National (Canadian) newspapers; and International newspapers. 2016.002.1, Series 4
Subseries consists of two files which contain various reports and other documents relating to a project to develop a community centre in the North End of Halifax. The project is referred to as "Halifax Neighbourhood Centre Project" and "The Needham Project". Reports discuss primarily updates of the project and assessments. 2016.002.1, Series 6, Subseries 1
File consists of material of interest to the Black Working Group/Canadian Employment Centre.
