Part of Nova Scotia Registry of Deeds fonds
Subseries forms part of the Shelburne County Registry of Deeds records, and consists of 71 volumes of land transaction registers, 1783-1955, recording the sale or transfer of land between grantor (seller) and grantee (buyer) , mortgage assignments and releases, quit claim deeds, and numerous other types of documents relating to land transactions. The documents recorded in the land transaction registers are transcriptions (the Registry's copy) of the original documents held by the grantor and grantee. Series also includes: Crown Land Grant Books 1-3, 1854-1962, and Crown Land Lease Book 4, 1900-1924, which provided a local copy of land grants and leases also recorded at the Crown Lands office.
Subseries forms part of Public Health Records series and consists of applications for sewage disposal installation permits, correspondence, inspection reports, and maps of the proposed sewage system installation site. Records have been arranged chronologically. The 1974 folder contains plans for a proposed extension to the Pubnico Medical Centre and other undated plans. The technical drawings include both professionally drawn architectural blueprints and hand drawn sketches.

Part of Lynn Jones African-Canadian and Diaspora Heritage Collection
File consists of three scrapbooks created by Lynn Jones in the 1960s and 1970s. Includes an early one dating from 1962-1963, one (originally in a white binder) from 1968, and one started in 1972. The scrapbooks collect news clippings and ephemera relating to personal, professional, and political interests of Jones and her family. 2016.002.1, Series 1, Subseries 2

Sub-series forms part of school activities series of the Helen Jennex fonds and consists of yearbooks from schools where Helen Jennex was a teacher or principal, including the Oyster Pond School yearbook for 1955-1956, the Musquodoboit Harbour Consolidated School yearbook for 1956-57 entitled Marine Whispers, and the Robert Jamison Memorial Consolidated High School yearbooks for 1958-1959 through to 1964-65, also entitled Marine Whispers. Sub-series also includes Oyster Pond School newspapers from 1956-57 and 1947-48, and a Robert Jamison Memorial school newspaper from 1959. 2009.039

Sub-series forms part of school activities series of the Helen Jennex fonds and consists of black-and-white photographs from schools where Helen Jennex was a teacher or principal. Most are from the Robert Jamison Memorial Consolidated High School, and include photographs of classes, clubs, and other groups related to the school. Series also includes two modern reproductions of Oyster Pond School photographs, one from around the 1940s which includes Helen Jennex, and another from 1944 which includes Mildred Hosking, who also taught at the school. Also included is a modern reproduction of a May 13, 1915 school photograph located at Oyster Pond. Series also includes two colour class photographs from the Jeddore Lakeville Elementary School which include Jennex. Series also contains a portrait photograph possibly of Helen Jennex’s son Otis Jr. In addition, series includes some original page layouts for year books and other publications, consisting of photographs, text and other material pasted on to pieces of paper. 2009.039

Sub-series forms part of school activities series of several exercises for students, each consisting of a leaflet with a short text on an historic person, anecdote, or other topic, and a set of accompanying questions. Sub-series also includes two mass letters from the Inspector of Schools for Halifax County, one addressed to the teachers of Halifax County and another addressed to the secretary to the trustees of a school. 2009.039
Subseries consists of information related to the negotiation of collective agreements between Saint Mary’s University and the Saint Mary’s University Faculty Union (Professional Librarians’ Unit), until the Professional Librarians’ Unit amalgamated with the Saint Mary’s University Faculty Union in 1989. The subseries contians collective agreements, memos, correspondence, proposals, press releases, newspaper articles, a Labour Education in Canada pamphlet, handwritten and photocopied notes on SMU librarians’ salaries and comparative figures for librarians and other positions at other institutions, and other handwritten and typed notes on negotiations 2006.006.1, Series 1, Subseries 1
