Series forms part of the Twin Oaks Memorial Hospital fonds and consists of one sheet of handwritten notes regarding the history of the hospital and two copies of newspaper clippings related to the hospital fair and a levy for the hospital’s deficit around the time when the Red Cross ceased to provide assistance to the hospital in 1958. Series consists of twenty-seven scrapbooks containing clippings of local interest, the majority of which were created by Grace Forsythe. The earliest scrapbooks were created by her mother, Mrs. E. S. Williams (Ada Harpell Williams). One scrapbook contains clippings of obituaries from 1935-1978 and was created by Helen Jennex. Accession number: 2010.032

Part of Katherine L. Stoddard family fonds
Series forms part of Katherine L. Stoddard fonds and consists primarily of letters written to Katherine Stoddard by various correspondents between 1978 and 1998, including Robert Ritcey, Robert Kim Stevens, and others. Most pertain to genealogy related to families along the Eastern Shore, however, some are also personal in nature. Series also contains two letters from the First World War addressed to Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Stoddard concerning their son Private F. T. Stoddard. There is also a note from the Mercantile Marine Office concerning the wages of Robert Stoddard and dated 1882. The series also contains letters to Katherine’s mother, Eva Stoddard, from Annabel (likely Annabel Siteman); a letter to Lena from a Ritcey, and a letter to Bob Stoddard from his brother Thomas dated 1927. Series also includes several letters written to and by Robert Ritcey concerning the development of Martinique Beach as a National Park, letters from the Department of Tourism and Culture, a letter from the Department of Education concerning a gift agreement for a donation to the Nova Scotia Museum, and a letter from the Church Conservancy of Nova Scotia. Consists of records created and accumulated by Grace Edith Forsythe primarily during her career as an educator and as a result of her involvement with the Marine Highway Historical Society, including records related to her teaching career, photographs, and material related to local history. Also included are publications produced by the Marine Highway Historical Society as well as layouts and preliminary copies. Contents also include scrapbooks, correspondence, advertisements, recipes, and material related to the Red Cross Society. In addition, fonds includes records acquired by Grace Forsythe and related to her aunt and uncle Cora (Harpell) and Sandy Myers, who owned the Salmon River House and with whom Grace lived for a time. Series forms part of the Ford Webber fonds and consists of issues of Webbers Shore News, a leaflet published monthly by Ford Webber from the 1980s to 1990s which reported on local news and events in the Lake Charlotte area. Included is a complete run of the publication, featuring issues number one (December 1982) through one hundred eighty-five (June 1998), with the exception of issue number seventy-nine (August 1989), which is missing. Issues include flier catalogues featuring products for sale at Webbers Store. Accession numbers: 2010.017, 2013.023

Series forms part of the Musquodoboit Harbour Heritage Society collection and consists of transcripts and cassette tape recordings of personal interviews conducted by the Musquodoboit Harbour Heritage Society with various local residents. Interviewees include Etta Mae (Gault) Hilchie, Gladys Ritcey, Lowell Gaetz, Debbie Marks, Awilda Connors, George Slaunwhite, Annie Young, Elliott Slade, Arthur Mannette, Stewart and Dorothy Rowlings, Blanche Baker, Mae Pettipas, Eva Fahie, Dollie Mosher, Clive Monk, Florence Baker, Cora Mason, Gertie Mannette, Lillian Bellefontaine, and Florence Colbert.
