The fonds contains 39 folders of documents that show the activities of the Zonta Club of Truro throughout its lifetime. Document types include booklets, certificates, ephemera, newspaper clippings, notes, reports, Craft Fair materials, yearbooks, newsletters, and ledgers. The fonds consists of 30 cm of administrative records, including annual reports, minutes, financial statements, and an additional 30 cm of scrapbooks and guestbooks that demonstrate the activities of the Truro Art Society from 1969 - 1999. Photographs also show the activities of the organization, including the Attic Painters art shows, the organization's anniversary party, a collection of quilted items, and a pottery show. 2000.68.1 - 25

The fonds contains records that demonstrate the academic activities of the staff and students of the Nova Scotia Teachers College, as well as some materials from the previous Nova Scotia Normal College. The series include: calendars, student directories, guide books, essays, examinations, commencement programs, convocation programs, banquet programs, “Teachers Views” newsletters, “Normal Bulletin” newsletters, while all other records are arranged in no particular order. Dominant record types include awards, certificates, Principal’s reports, addresses, and newspaper clippings, letters, newsletters, and records of the Alumni Association. The records provide information on some of the special events of the school, including Athletic Awards banquets, Honours banquets, convocation, commencement, Christmas concerts, Winter Carnival. Fonds consists of an annotated manuscript of the booklet written by Frank A. Doane entitled "Old Times in Barrington", revised in 1944, published in Truro. Also includes a copy of Doane's marriage certificate, and manuscripts of articles for "South Shore Notes" printed in the Truro Daily News printed in the late 1940's, and proofs for his book Old Times. Photograph is of the Doane's Truro home.
