Fonds consists of approximately 137 hours of oral history interviews conducted by Lena Ferguson. Most interviewees were residents of the Eastern Shore region of Halifax County, particularly the Chezzetcook area. Interview topics include genealogy, local industries, occupations, music, shipping, community life, traditions, and folklore. In addition to interviews, the creator recorded school reunions, concerts, weddings, and church anniversaries. Several paper transcripts are included as well as scrapbooks featuring articles written by Lena and other newspaper articles regarding the Chezzetcook area. 2019.014

Collection consists of postcards accumulated by Anna Barbara Webber. Postcards date from 1905 to 1914, but predominantly from 1906 to 1912. Most postcards are addressed either to Anna Barbara or to her (then) future husband William Wilson Webber, although there are also some to other family members. Most of the postcards refer to events and activities on the Eastern Shore and in Dartmouth, where Anna Barbara lived during this time period. Postcards are each assigned an individual number from 1 to 696, and are arranged into five categories pertaining to their styles or types: postcards representing specific communities, landscape postcards, photograph postcards, greeting cards, and romance cards. Within each category, cards are arranged in order of their number. Accession number 2008.013.

Part of Annabel (Siteman) Ells fonds
Series forms part of the Annabel (Sitman) Ells fonds and consists of several maps, the majority of which were produced by the Department of Mines and Resources between 1935 and 1948 and include the areas of Yarmouth, Shelburne, Queens, and Annapolis counties, Tangier, Upper Musquodoboit, Ship Harbour, Guysborough County, Ecum Secum, Moncton, Cape Breton, Owl’s Head, Port Dufferin, River John, New Glasgow, Halifax. Series also includes highway and tourist maps of Nova Scotia, the Maritimes, Halifax and Dartmouth from c. 1948-1965 as well as street guides of Halifax and Dartmouth c. 1955-1965. Also included are Department of National Defence topographical maps of Chezzetcook, Musquodoboit, Halifax, and Sambro from 1939 and 1943. Accession number: 2013.066

Fonds comprises a wide range of records from both MOVE and MOVE coalition members, ranging from administrative records to materials on social issues. Records include meeting minutes from the board and staff; operations and financial records; conference, seminar and workshop records; committees records; information about MOVE coalition member groups; resource and reference materials that made up much of MOVE's library as well as information used for various publications. Records contain materials that target many social issues such as the environment, human rights, poverty, unemployment, city planning, and transit issues. MS-11-1

Item is a minute book kept during meetings of the Medical Relief Committee of Dartmouth. The Committee met regularly in late 1917 and 1918 to discuss the care of Dartmouth patients following the December 1917 Halifax Explosion. The minute book, which was primarily kept by Dr. M.G. Burris, details meetings of the committee and efforts to coordinate relief activities with the Medical Relief Committee of Halifax. Burris added two pages of notes in June 1944 with information on some members of the committee, Dartmouth hospitals managed by the committee, and remunerations paid by the Medical Relief Committee to physicians who treated patients.
