Fonds consists of five series, one for each of the four textile companies which operated out of the Yarmouth mill and a fifth series for associated records and published material. These records include records of the Dominion Textiles' preceding companies: Yarmouth Duck and Yarn Company Limited, Cosmos Cotton Company Limited and Cosmos Imperial Mills Ltd. Those records which had been donated to the Archives prior to 1991 have been incorporated into the fonds and assigned new identification numbers. This action was considered appropriate due to the fact that the records' former arrangement and description was poorly executed and included numerous cases of misidentification. Those records which have been re-numbered have their original identification numbers included in the item level descriptions.
