Alice M. Hagen fonds

Fonds consists of a disassembled scrapbook containing photographs, textual documents, ephemera, and grey literature documenting the artistic career of Alice Hagen. In addition, there are records touching on Hagen’s exhibitions, her study of Native pottery designs, and a Mount Saint Vincent bursary established in her honour. In addition, there is a reference binder, assembled by staff of the Mahone Bay Museum, which includes original photographs, research notes, and photocopies of clippings, articles, exhibition catalogues, and some notes by Hagen. Smeltzer, relating to several vessels: a Royal Barge, a Mussel Harvester, a Tancook Whaler, and a Coastal Tern Schooner. The Tancook Whaler drawings include lines, a construction sheet, sail plans, and details of the rudder and centerboard. MBMS-45

Fonds consists of correspondence, a legal agreement, school records, notebooks, certificates, and clippings relating primarily to the shipbuilding activities of Frederick Stannage Burgoyne during the 1923-1927 period and to his daughter Enola Burgoyne Macleod’s education during the late 1920s and early 1930s. The photographs largely document members of the Burgoyne family, friends of Enola Burgoyne MacLeod and De Wolf Burgoyne, and some Burgoyne-related shipbuilding activities. MBMS-3
