Series consists of administrative records created by the Nova Scotia Women’s History Society (NSWHS) including meeting agendas, minutes from board meetings (2012-2017) and from Annual General Meetings (2013-2020), NSWHS’ by-laws, codes of conduct (2018), membership lists (2014-2015), newsletter drafts (2018), and logo designs. Series also includes correspondence between NSWHS members, with other Nova Scotia organizations, and with members of the public. PR-017-2

Collection consists of posters and pinback buttons accrued by peace activist Betty Peterson. Materials mainly pertain to protests, speaking events, organizations, and film screenings for social justice causes including nuclear disarmament, environmental conservation, Indigenous activism, women’s rights, and anti-war movements. Collection includes the shirt Betty Peterson wore to a nuclear disarmament rally in New York City in 1982 with buttons attached to it, as well as a cloth banner with the words "Voice of Women Canada" sewn on it, also with buttons attached. Some materials pertain to the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers), and collection also contains various posters of paintings and art calendars. Part of Betty Peterson ephemera collection
Series consists of buttons related to various organizations and events advocating for social justice and peace causes, including nuclear disarmament, Indigenous rights and land claims, environmental conservation, women’s rights, anti-apartheid in South Africa, and anti-U.S. intervention in Latin America, especially in Nicaragua and El Salvador. Series also includes anti-war buttons, predominantly in reference to the Gulf War (1991). Some buttons refer to political parties, in particular the New Democratic Party (NDP) and the African National Congress (ANC). Series also includes the shirt worn by Peterson to the 1982 nuclear disarmament rally in New York City with buttons attached. PR-031-2

Part of Kenneth Dewar fonds
The Committee work series contains records relating to Dr. Kenneth Dewar’s participation in various university committees, mainly at Mount Saint Vincent University. Professor Dewar was an active member and chair of the History Department at MSVU. Files related to this committee work include statistical information about the history department that were discussed in meetings, such as enrolment, faculty and academic plan data. The records also include memos, correspondence and evaluations. Agenda and meeting minutes cover announcements, regular business and issues related to the university or departmental programs. Other committee files cover work done with the Library Committee, Committee on Academic Policy and Planning, Arts & Science Promotion Committee, Strategic Planning, Bookstore Consultative Review Committee. The series also contains documents, such as reports, relevant for discussions in these committees, including academic implications of disproportionate funding, the Dalhousie-Mount shuttle bus, senate, evaluations, planning documents, and reviews, among others. There is also a copy of Insight Vol. 4 No. 2, Jan 1975 filed within the records. PR-002-2

Elizabeth Seton lectures
This series consists of recordings of lectures given as part of the Seton lectures. The Elizabeth Seton lecture series was founded in 1978 when the Sisters of Charity established an endowment fund for a lecture series with the general theme of Christian presence in the world. This lectures series was intended to reinforce Mount Saint Vincent University's commitment to understand the truth, intellectual vigour, and social responsibility. The lecture series is named after the founder of the Sisters of Charity in North America, Elizabeth Seton. MSVUA-AV-SL

Kenneth Dewar fonds

This fonds contains records created and accumulated by Dr. Kenneth Dewar during the course of his career as a professor of History. The fonds consists of four main series: Teaching activities, Committee work, Frank H. Underhill research and Charles Clarke research. The Teaching activities series includes course outlines, readings, lecture and discussion notes for various courses that were taught by Dr. Dewar. These include courses at Mount Saint Vincent University, University of Toronto, University of Victoria and Wilfred Laurier University. The Committee work series includes minutes, memoranda and reports from various committees on which Dr. Dewar participated in during his time at Mount Saint Vincent University. These include Department of History Committee, Committee on Academic Policy and Planning, Library Committee, and the Arts and Science Promotion Committee. The fonds also contains Dr. Dewar’s research files, notably his work on Frank H. Underhill and Charles Clarke. In these series, types of records that can be found include photocopies of primary and secondary source documents that were consulted, notes, bibliography, publisher correspondence, and reviews.
