Part of City of Halifax fonds
Item consists of a commemorative plaque presented to the people of Halifax on the occasion of the Olympic Torch Relay, which took place from November 17th, 1987 to February 13th, 1988. The relay was part of the XV Olympic Winter Games. The plaque is engraved on glass and mounted on a burgundy background in a metal frame. 102-145.100

Several posters for the Wallace Circus, Friday June 15 at the Halifax Commons, can be seen on the boarded up windows/doors. The back of the apartment building can be seen in 233.5, and images 233.3 and 233.6 are views of the wall and neighbouring properties taken from across the street. Images 233.1, and 233.11-12 (the latter two likely from the end of one roll of film and then 233.1, the beginning of the next) appear to depict the inside of the Works Department office(s) and picture [building inspectors] Donald MacDonald, John MacDonald, and Lionel Alexander, amongst others. File consists of images of the front and side of two derelict buildings on Salter just west of Lower Water St. On the side of no. 5, are signs for F. D. Longaphy: Barber, and Black Cat and Sportsman Cigarettes. In image 1321.1, [Foundation Maritime Ltd.] (135 Lower Water St.) can be seen in the background, with signs for Engineers, Metal Sprayers, Blacksmiths, Ironworks. The harbour is on view in the distance. The Ralston Building can also be seen in background of this image and in 1321.2 and 1321.3. Original envelope marked 27 Feb 78. 102-39-1-1321
