Zonta Club of Truro Fonds

The fonds contains 39 folders of documents that show the activities of the Zonta Club of Truro throughout its lifetime. Document types include booklets, certificates, ephemera, newspaper clippings, notes, reports, Craft Fair materials, yearbooks, newsletters, and ledgers. Fifty photographs were removed and stored in a separate box. The photographs mostly show special events in which the Club participated. 2018.6.1 - 317

Architectural drawings of 114 Victoria Street, Truro. A Municipally Registered Heritage Property of Art Moderne style with flat roof and curved window section. Designed in 1938 by Truro architect E. D. Vernon for William H. Faltenhine, founder of the "Craftsmen" building supply store which merged with Ontario company to form Halliday Craftsmen Limited in 1923. The house is unique in the town and the drawings show the front and south elevation, ground floor and second floor plans, plan of lot, west and east elevation, basement floor plan, cross section and front of fireplace. 87.2(iii) a & b

The fonds consists of materials that were found in a scrapbook that was owned by W. C. Smith in the 1950s - 1960s. The scrapbook was photocopied and discarded, along with original newspaper clippings. There are 2 cm of textual records regarding Victoria Park, Truro, NS, including brochures, correspondence, financial statements, and reports.
