Richard C. Weldon fonds

Fonds consists primarily of correspondence from the period during which Weldon was a Member of Parliament, and includes personal and business letters. There are also telegrams, bills, invoices, and a geometry textbook from Weldon's studies at Mount Allison. Also included are prints of family portraits, ca. 1870s-1890s. MS-2-126
Fred Harris fonds

Frederick Wheelock Harris (1869–1941) was the son of Augustus and Mary Eliza (Wheelock) Harris. A lawyer, town clerk and amateur photographer, he grew up in the family homestead on the Dugway Road and later had a home in town. The fonds consist of 228 prints and 221 slides. They depict late Victorian life c. 1900 in Annapolis Royal area as well as Bridgetown, Bear River, Bridgewater and Halifax, Nova Scotia. It includes photographs of families, men, women, children, animals, vessels, events, cemeteries, a dentist's office, homes and a wide variety of streetscapes.
John Daniel Logan fonds

Fonds contains music manuscripts and published scores, photographs, and autograph letters written by well-known composers such as Jacques Offenbach, Giuseppe Verdi, and John Philip Sousa. Through his work as a music critic and journalist in Toronto and Halifax, Logan communicated with many prominent Canadian musicians in the early twentieth century. Many of the scores, photographs, and autographs included in this collection are a result of his contributions to music criticism. The music and theatre programs are frequently annotated with comments for reviews, and most of his correspondence with musicians and actors relates to his work as a music and theatre critic. Some of the scores were given to Logan as gifts from performers while others were sent to him for review or publication in newspapers. There are several manuscripts of songs by Edith Jessie Archibald, a prominent social activist and suffragist in Halifax. Letters sent to Logan also concern his poetic contributions, and there is a manuscript draft of one of his books, Preludes: Sonnets and other Verses (1906). MS-5-1

In the first decades of the 20th century, he operated a drugstore and photography studio in Bridgetown. The fonds consist of 145 photographs, depicting people, events, buildings, vessels and animals in and around Bridgetown and Annapolis Royal.
