Consists of photographs, six of them in postcard format and one under glass with gouache, original documents, and correspondence, as well as research notes, reminiscences, anecdotes, and biographical information about Nan Geizer and her ancestors. The contents document Nan Geizer's interest in family history, and her career and activities as a teacher, amateur historian, traveler, and member of the Canadian military during the Second World War. 1980-329
Barbara Keddy

Fonds consists of oral history interviews conducted by Keddy in the course of her research. Recordings contain interviews with over eighty women and cover topics including the social history of nursing in Nova Scotia in the 1930s, the lives of working women in the 1920s and 1930s, retired nurse leaders, and experiences of Black women in the nursing profession. The interviews have served as research data for papers and articles written and/or published by Keddy. 1983-017
Malcolm and Marial Mosher

Consists of film footage of Marial Mosher dancing and with her friends in the Canadian Women's Army Corps, of the 1939 Royal Visit to Halifax, and a Guide's Meet at Lake Williams (near Bridgewater, Nova Scotia). The one film which was not made by Malcolm Mosher is of the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II, which was shot by Marial Mosher and a friend. The footage of Marial Mosher's dance recital is significant, since it provides insight into the work of Madame Hylda's School of Dancing. Madame Hylda won national recognition for her work as a dance instructor, and has earned a place in the Dance Hall of Fame in Toronto. 1986-29
Georgia H. Cunningham

Consists of negatives taken by Georgia H. Cunningham for clients who patronized her commercial studio. The geographic area represented is almost exclusively Bridgetown and surrounding area. Cunningham's work is primarily portraiture although from 1942 onwards there are a number of photographs of school classes and societies as well as the Bridgetown Salvation Army Citadel. Approximately five percent of the photographs include views of shopfronts, buildings, churches, streets, scenery and special events such as the visit of the Bishop of Nova Scotia to St. James Anglican Church in 1946. Also includes a few glass plate negatives which may have been taken by previous commercial studio owners Joseph Rice or Edith Crosskill, as well as negatives and prints left with her by clients for processing or given to her by others. Also contains a photograph and three letters concerning Dr. Otto Srasser (1898-1974) a Nazi exile who lived in Paradise, Nova Scotia for fifteen years. 1989-433
Janet Kitz

Consists of material created and accumulated by Janet Kitz in preparation for the publication of her books on the Halifax Harbour Explosion of 1917. Includes photographs by Gauvin and Gentzell of the north end of Halifax after the explosion, as well as research material relating to survivors of the explosion. The research materials consist of tape recorded interviews of survivors of the event, interview transcripts and photographs and slides of those who were interviewed. 1992-359
Karen Oxley

Consists of material relating to Oxley's professional musical career. Includes production, rehearsal, and dubbed audio reel recordings of programs such as Singalong Jubilee, as well as Music Hop - Frank's Bandstand, Let's Go, and an episode of Birt's Bandstand, 1961. Other recordings accumulated by Oxley feature the Hants East Regional High School band, Les Troubadours, The Sable Island Chorale, Anne Murray and others in concert in Charlottetown, J. Chalmers Doane of the Halifax District School Board, transcriptions done for CBC, and interviews with, or about, Karen Oxley. Ellen Wainwright

Consists of two photograph albums compiled by Ellen (O'Brien) Wainwright, one containing photographs depicting scenes of Edgehill School for Girls, Windsor, including students, school activities and sports events (1916-1917). The other album depicts military personnel during World War I, celebrations including the Dominion Day parade (1918), house decorated for Armistice Day (1919), military camp at Fort Edward, Windsor (1918), sports and recreation at Edgehill, Windsor, and Evangeline Beach, Kings County, and other scenes in Hants County.
