Series consists of material relating to the Jones family collected by Lynn Jones. The material consists of news clippings, event programs, family genealogical materials, invitations, correspondence, and other documents. The materials in this collection are generally filed together by individual or event. This series also contains subseries of material which was filed with these documents, one contains issues of "Tidings" (the Black Cultural Society newsletter), and other documents, and the second contains scrapbooks of news clippings and other material made by Lynn Jones in the 1960s and 1970s. 2016.002.1, Series 1
File consists of various material relating to Lynn's grandfather, war veteran Jeremiah Jones, as well as war veteran Sydney Morgan Jones (they were half-brothers). The material in the file includes primarily news clippings documenting the history of African-Canadians in World War I, news articles relating to Calvin Ruck's campaign for recognition for Jeremiah Jones, histories written by Ruck, and copies of textbook pages and other published sources. The file also includes obituaries (including one of Jeremiah's father), and a funeral program for Sydney, and a piece of correspondence from Rocky Jones asking for information from the Department of Veteran Affairs about Jeremiah's war service. File consists of material relating to Lynn's sister, Debby Jones. Much of the material in the file consists of news clippings documenting the performances of "Four the Moment", an a cappella musical group, which Debby sang with. The material relates to Willena's personal life as a teacher in Truro (includes certificates, news articles, and other documents), as well as news clippings, biographies (written by family members) covering her personal life (including her 1935 marriage to Elmer Jones), and correspondence with Calvin Ruck concerning Jeremiah Jones.
