Part of Ford Webber fonds
Series forms part of the Ford Webber fonds and consists of issues of Webbers Shore News, a leaflet published monthly by Ford Webber from the 1980s to 1990s which reported on local news and events in the Lake Charlotte area. Included is a complete run of the publication, featuring issues number one (December 1982) through one hundred eighty-five (June 1998), with the exception of issue number seventy-nine (August 1989), which is missing. Issues include flier catalogues featuring products for sale at Webbers Store. Accession numbers: 2010.017, 2013.023

Series forms part of the Ford Webber fonds and consists of records from Ford’s school years, including examination books, and exercise books containing English compositions, writing exercises, mathematics, health, and other subjects. Also included is a scribbler containing information about baseball games played by students including Ford. In addition, series contains a souvenir card containing poetry given to Ford by his teacher, Doris Dakin, in June of 1945 when he was in grade two. Series also includes two report cards, one quarterly and one monthly; and three certificates showing that he had completed grades two, three, and four. Accession numbers: 2010.017, 2013.023

Series forms part of the Ford Webber fonds and consists of books that may have been used by Ford as a child, including three books (or sections of books) of fairy tales and nursery rhymes. Also included is a copy of an Italian sentence book for soldiers from 1943, which translates common words and sentences from English to Italian, and lastly a planting guide put out by Sears, Robuck, and Co. Fonds consists of records related to the activities of E. J. Webber during his time spent serving with the 2nd Reserve Battalion Halifax Rifles in World War II and his shared activities with his wife Babe Webber in her role as postmistress in Lake Charlotte during the 1950s. Records were created between 1941 and 1945, and between 1951 and 1955. Part of E.J. Webber fonds
Series forms part of the E. J. Webber fonds and consists of records relating to E. J. Webber and his wife Marguerite Lillias “Babe” Webber’s activities while sharing her duties as postmistress of Lake Charlotte, Halifax County, Nova Scotia. Series includes forms requesting the Lake Charlotte postmistress to deliver mail to rural mailboxes. Each form includes the date of the request, the name on the mail box, the location of the mail box, the names of other people who will use the box, and the post office currently serving the requestor. Although Marguerite held the official title of postmistress, forms are addressed either to E. J. Webber or simply to the Lake Charlotte Postmaster (the forms themselves use the generic term ‘Postmaster’ rather than ‘Postmistress’). The names of the post offices entered include Owls Head, Clam Harbour, Clam Bay, Lake Charlotte, DeBaies Cove, Lower Ship Harbour and Ship Harbour. Some of the forms have notes to the postmaster written on or attached to them.

Collection consists of forty monochrome aerial photographs of the Eastern Shore taken between 1931 and 1945. Also includes seven corresponding flight maps. Photographs illustrate the landscapes and coastlines of various locations along the Eastern Shore as they were in 1931-1945. Areas covered by the aerial photographs within this collection include Owl's Head, Little Harbour, Clam Harbour, Burnt Point, Clam Bay, Lake Charlotte, Ship Harbour, Upper Lakeville, Oyster Pond, and the Jeddores. Series forms part of the Lydia Webber fonds and consists of black and white photographs accumulated by Lydia Webber, including portraits and other images of people. Six photographs are identified, including pictures of Maud Webber in 1902, Buford Webber, Marguerite “Babe” Webber, Nelson Webber; Ruth, Kenneth and Lloyd Webber; and Lydia's brother Hudson Webber with their niece Myrtle Webber, daughter of Amos. Five photographs identified with the names ‘Nancy’, ‘Mildred’, ‘Edna’, and ‘Floss’ (with husband ‘Leslie’) are possibly of Nancy Ann Webber and her daughters Mildred, Edna and Flossy or Nancy Mary Webber, sister of Lydia. Series forms part of the Lydia Webber fonds and consists of several letters to Lydia Webber from her sons Harvey and Roy. Series also contains one letter from James Peter Webber (Lydia’s brother) which is addressed to Catherine (Dooks) Webber (Lydia’s mother). Series also consists of postcards, Christmas cards, and other greeting cards accumulated or created by Lydia Webber. Most of the cards are addressed to Lydia Webber and are from a variety of senders including her sons Odous, Harvey, and Roy. Some cards are also from her husband Albert, who sent them from Anticosti Island, Quebec and Souris, Prince Edward Island, possibly during fishing expeditions. Series also includes cards addressed to Albert Webber, sent by Lydia or other family members. In addition, three cards are addressed to Miss Ada Webber and one is addressed to “Harvie Webber” from “Aunt Ada”. Series also contains blank and unidentified postcards and greeting cards, as well as a number of calling cards from family members, relatives, and friends. Accession number: 2008.009

Series forms part of Lake Charlotte Area Heritage Society fonds and consists of records related to the conception and planning of Memory Lane Heritage Village, particularly phases I and II, which were primarily concerned with the initial establishment of the village. Series also includes records related to the implementation of the plans for the village, including records related to the acquisition of buildings and the construction of the village. Series contains proposals, planning documents, reports, cash flow projections, correspondence, funding applications, notes, meeting minutes, drawings (including early plans, a photo inventory and map of buildings, and other architectural drawings), forms, moving permit applications, video, and other material. Series also includes records related to the initial heritage village proposal led by Ford Webber and Gordon Hammond in 1994, before the society was established. Accession numbers: 2010.014, 2012.017
