Fonds consists of photocopies of records from the Twin Oaks Memorial Hospital. The records appear to have been reproduced as part of a display for the hospital, possibly created by Ena Rowlings. The records include correspondence, financial records, posters, policies, regulations, and mandates. Also included are original photographs. Accession number 2013.065

Fonds consists of correspondence written to Walter, Hannah, and Laura Stoddard as well as records related to churches and church societies and memorabilia related to the First World War that was found in the Stoddard Hotel. Fonds also contains financial records including insurance policies and tax receipts as well as post office records including ledgers of records of registered mail. Remaining records include permits, dance step instructions, quilt patterns, paintings by Harold Brownhill, a poem by Burns Marks, a label from E. Homan’s clam cannery, a brochure for a Camp Charlotte, a sign erected by the Cranberry Committee, and a business card and photograph of Judge F. M. Morson. Accession number 2013.010

Salmon River House fonds

Fonds consists of records generated and accumulated by the proprietors of the Salmon River House between 1932 and 2002. Included in the fonds are hotel registers, historical information about the Salmon River House, photographs of the house in various years, and a menu listing dishes served there. The majority of the records date to the period in which the house was owned by the Myers family. Accession number 2013.041
E.J. Webber fonds

Fonds consists of records related to the activities of E. J. Webber during his time spent serving with the 2nd Reserve Battalion Halifax Rifles in World War II and his shared activities with his wife Babe Webber in her role as postmistress in Lake Charlotte during the 1950s. Records were created between 1941 and 1945, and between 1951 and 1955. Fonds · 1932-1953
Consists of two handmade and handwritten books entitled, The Owlet and The Work of the Owl, which were created by the students of the Owl’s Head Harbour School. The Owlet was a magazine that the students created for exhibition in Halifax with the help of their teacher. Associated editors of The Owlet are listed as being Una Palmer, Reta Palmer, and Helen Parker. It features poems, horoscopes, essays, a school prophecy, jokes, drawings including the school and its floor plan, a list of pupils, and lists of improvements made to the school in the year 1932-1933. Some of the essays in this book relate to work and life in Owls Head and include an essay on sheep farming and the breed of sheep used. The Work of the Owl is a yearbook created by the students of the Owl’s Head Harbour School. It includes the school yell, school song, songs learned during year, animated map of Owl’s Head, poetry and prose about various topics, horoscopes, humor, and drawings. Accession number 2013.005
Vincent Young fonds

Fonds consists of one audio cassette, featuring Vincent Young singing folk songs from the West Petpeswick area at a kitchen party in West Petpeswick. Songs include Rango’s Boots and The Bear Song. Rango’s Boots is about the very large boots worn by George William “Rango” Bayers while The Bear Song was from the late 1800s and referred to a bear that tormented livestock on the west side of Petpeswick Harbour. Also contains copies of transcripts of the lyrics of both songs including information about Rango Bayers. George William “Rango” Bayers was born in 1829 and died 1916 in West Petpeswick. His parents were Nutting Bayers and Marie (Warner) Bayers. He was married to Elizabeth Ann (Eliza) Clerge c. 1854. They had at least two children; Annie Belle (Annabel) Bayers (m. Dennis Aisley Greenough) and Henry William (Harry) Bayers (b. 1855). Rango was a large, distinguished looking man. He worked as a farmer and is thought to have owned a substantial amount of property, including several islands in Petpeswick Harbour and a gold or silver mine. His daughter, Annie Belle (Annabel) provided the lyrics and melody to the song, Farewell to Nova Scotia, to Helen Creighton who recorded it in 1933. The banjo player in the sound recording accompanying Vincent Young may have been Marshall Bayers. Accession number 2013.001
East Jeddore School fonds

Fonds consists of records of the East Jeddore School and consists of a ledger which records school taxes owed by individual taxpayers for the period of 1930-1936, along with their payment status. Also recorded are teacher salaries, supply costs, insurance fees, and other expenses for the same period. In addition, the ledger book includes minutes of school meetings from 1923-1935. Also includes a sheet of paper which records valuations of taxpayers’ property in East Jeddore and school taxes for 1921. Accession number 2009.039

Ferguson of Lower East Chezzetcook including his first wife, Catherine Ann Conrod and his children by his second wife, Jane Margaret Conrod. Accession number: 2012.025
