This item is a postcard with a black and white photograph of Great Village, NS, titled "A View in Great Village, N. S.". Visible are the tourist cabins that were located below the home of Edmund Munroe Johnson and Annie Blanche (Blaikie) Johnson on the Great Village River; they were in this location from the 1920s to the 1940s. The postcard is addressed to "Mr. and Mrs. Russell Peppard" [Russell Waldo Peppard and Melinda Gould (Blaikie) Peppard], Irvington, NJ. The note reads: "Easter Greetings, love Johnson Family".

The fonds consists of records accumulated by Annabel (Siteman) Ells during the course of her research on the area of Ship Harbour and the families who lived there as well as personal records created and accumulated throughout her lifetime. The fonds includes a wide variety of records such as land related documents, wills, Loyalist petitions, census information, court papers, church registers and vital statistics including marriage, birth, and death records; school papers, genealogies, clippings and notes taken from various newspapers and periodicals, photographs and negatives, correspondence, postcards, and diaries. Collection consists of postcards accumulated by Anna Barbara Webber. Postcards date from 1905 to 1914, but predominantly from 1906 to 1912. Most postcards are addressed either to Anna Barbara or to her (then) future husband William Wilson Webber, although there are also some to other family members. Most of the postcards refer to events and activities on the Eastern Shore and in Dartmouth, where Anna Barbara lived during this time period. Postcards are each assigned an individual number from 1 to 696, and are arranged into five categories pertaining to their styles or types: postcards representing specific communities, landscape postcards, photograph postcards, greeting cards, and romance cards. Within each category, cards are arranged in order of their number. Accession number 2008.013.
