File consists of an image of the lot cleared for the construction of the new Court House. Photograph was taken from the upper floor of a nearby building and looks east with the harbour filling the upper half of the frame. A ferry that's on its way to Dartmouth can be seen in the image as can the Dartmouth waterfront area (albeit not terribly clear). 102-39-1-389

File consists of two images of Grand Parade taken at different times. The first is an elevated view (taken from the roof of a building on the Argyle?, possibly Moir's) looking east, with Barrington on the left, Argyle on the right, and George's Island in the distance. The back of this print is stamped with "Photo by Nova Scotia Bureau of Information," and has a number of measurements written on it. The second image was taken in front of City Hall and shows St. Paul's Church as well as some of the buildings on Argyle St. 102-39-1-390

The back of a tavern (on Lower Water St.?), Scotia Flour & [Feed] Co. Ltd., and the Morse's Teas building are all discernable in the photograph. File consists of images of several dilapidated, two- or three-storey houses. In image 397.2, an African Nova Scotian woman is standing in the doorway and a girl is leaning out of an upper-floor window, both of them smiling at the camera. Laundry can be seen hanging on the line in images 397.4 and 5. Image 397.4 is very similar to a photograph included on page 14 of in Gordon Stephenson's 1957 "A Redevelopment Study of Halifax, Nova Scotia" (retrival code 711.45.S8 1957 v.1). 102-39-1-397

Photographs 399.1 and 399.2 show the stretch of the street where the building will be situated, with 399.1 taken from South Park St just before Morris Street, looking north.
