Part of Lydia Webber fonds
Series forms part of the Lydia Webber fonds and consists of several letters to Lydia Webber from her sons Harvey and Roy. Series also contains one letter from James Peter Webber (Lydia’s brother) which is addressed to Catherine (Dooks) Webber (Lydia’s mother). Series also consists of postcards, Christmas cards, and other greeting cards accumulated or created by Lydia Webber. Most of the cards are addressed to Lydia Webber and are from a variety of senders including her sons Odous, Harvey, and Roy. Some cards are also from her husband Albert, who sent them from Anticosti Island, Quebec and Souris, Prince Edward Island, possibly during fishing expeditions. Series also includes cards addressed to Albert Webber, sent by Lydia or other family members. In addition, three cards are addressed to Miss Ada Webber and one is addressed to “Harvie Webber” from “Aunt Ada”. Series also contains blank and unidentified postcards and greeting cards, as well as a number of calling cards from family members, relatives, and friends. Accession number: 2008.009

In addition, series includes records related to the society’s targeting of specific markets, including bus tours, schools, cruise ships, and seniors. Series also includes records related to the society’s involvement in tourism and heritage networks and associations. Lena Ferguson fonds

Fonds consists of approximately 137 hours of oral history interviews conducted by Lena Ferguson. Most interviewees were residents of the Eastern Shore region of Halifax County, particularly the Chezzetcook area. Interview topics include genealogy, local industries, occupations, music, shipping, community life, traditions, and folklore. In addition to interviews, the creator recorded school reunions, concerts, weddings, and church anniversaries. Several paper transcripts are included as well as scrapbooks featuring articles written by Lena and other newspaper articles regarding the Chezzetcook area. 2019.014

Part of Lydia Webber fonds
Series forms part of the Lydia Webber fonds and consists of black and white photographs accumulated by Lydia Webber, including portraits and other images of people. Six photographs are identified, including pictures of Maud Webber in 1902, Buford Webber, Marguerite “Babe” Webber, Nelson Webber; Ruth, Kenneth and Lloyd Webber; and Lydia's brother Hudson Webber with their niece Myrtle Webber, daughter of Amos. Five photographs identified with the names ‘Nancy’, ‘Mildred’, ‘Edna’, and ‘Floss’ (with husband ‘Leslie’) are possibly of Nancy Ann Webber and her daughters Mildred, Edna and Flossy or Nancy Mary Webber, sister of Lydia. Collection consists of forty monochrome aerial photographs of the Eastern Shore taken between 1931 and 1945. Also includes seven corresponding flight maps. Photographs illustrate the landscapes and coastlines of various locations along the Eastern Shore as they were in 1931-1945. Areas covered by the aerial photographs within this collection include Owl's Head, Little Harbour, Clam Harbour, Burnt Point, Clam Bay, Lake Charlotte, Ship Harbour, Upper Lakeville, Oyster Pond, and the Jeddores. Fonds consists of records related to the activities of E. J. Webber during his time spent serving with the 2nd Reserve Battalion Halifax Rifles in World War II and his shared activities with his wife Babe Webber in her role as postmistress in Lake Charlotte during the 1950s.
